Owner/Chef Gilbert Garza of Suze’s Restaurant in Dallas, Texas, stopped by and whipped up a crazy delicious grilled shrimp sandwich using Betty Rae’s Bread & Butter Pickles.

Suze’s Restaurant’s Tasty Tarter Sauce


  • 3 cups of Betty Rae’s Bread & Butter Pickles (chopped)

  • 1/2 cup of shallots

  • 1/4 cup of capers

  • 3 cups small diced celery hearts (stalk)

  • 1/2 cup of chopped Italian parsley

  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar

  • 1/4 cup champagne vinegar

  • 1/4 cup of blended olive oil

  • 2 cups of mayonnaise

  • juice of 1 whole lemon

  • salt & pepper to taste

Mix all together and adjust seasoning to taste.

This super tasty tarter sauce is THE perfect topping for your burgers and grilled shrimp sandwiches.  Enjoy!

Betty Rae’s Perfect Pickle Dip


  • 1/2 cup Betty Rae’s Bread & Butter Pickles

  • 8 oz. softened cream cheese

  • 4-5 tbsp. Betty Rae’s pickle juice (or more to taste)

Combine all ingredients in blender or food processor and mix until pickles are completely chopped. Serve chilled with bread sticks, crackers, pretzels or your favorite vegetables for dipping and enjoy!
